Indian telecommunication company Vodafone Idea (Vi) is modernising its telecom networks to deliver better services, reduce operational costs, and prepare for future technological advancements.
It has partnered with HCLSoftware to automate and enhance its 4G and 5G networks.
Vi is using HCL Augmented Network Automation (HCL ANA), a multi-vendor self-optimising network (MV-SON) platform.
HCL ANA uses artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify the management of multi-vendor, multi-technology, and multi-layered networks.
Vodafone Idea’s CTO, Jagbir Singh, said the AI-powered HCL ANA platform will streamline network operations and provide a better network experience to customers.
The platform manages Ericsson and Samsung networks and ensures integration and efficient operations.
It is SMO-ready (service management and orchestration) and compatible with ORAN (open radio access network.
This makes telecom networks flexible, scalable, and open to innovation.
