Mandai Wildlife Group has built an AI agent using Snowflake CoWork and Cortex AI, which helps its animal care and veterinary teams access information more efficiently in their day-to-day work, enabling faster decision-making.
Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a Singapore-based nature and wildlife destination, is home to the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Rainforest Wild Adventure, and the Bird Paradise.
With the integration of Snowflake CoWork and Cortex AI, the organisation has built an AI agent called Animal 360, which gives vets and animal care specialists a conversational interface to animal data.
As every animal has its own care logs and treatment protocols, accuracy matters as much as speed. A governed semantic layer ensures answers are based on existing health records, providing a reliable foundation for decision-making.
Earlier, Mandai's data was spread across different systems.
“The data needs to be trusted and models should be available in a cost-effective manner. Snowflake has helped achieve it. We built a foundation that our users can trust so that technology can quietly do its job,” said Yeow Loye Siew, Chief Information Officer, Mandai Wildlife Group.
Looking ahead, Mandai is keen on investing in tools that can speed up the quality of care it provides to the animals.
