CTOO appointed in India

In another significant appointment, StanChart's Chief Operating Officer in India, Zuzar Tinwalla, has been designated as the Chief Technology and Operations Officer (CTOO) for India and South Asia, effective from September 2023.

Tinwalla wrote in a LinkedIn post: “I am truly honoured to have been chosen for this pivotal role… It is a remarkable opportunity to work with such a prestigious institution and contribute to its vision for technological innovation and transformation in the region”.

He has been with the bank since 2006, working in various capacities and was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for India and South Asia in 2019.

According to market analysts, the additional role of Chief of Technology to his existing ambit shows the bank’s focus on technology as an engine of growth.
