German enterprise software major, SAP, has appointed Saqib Sabah as the new Managing Director of SAP Malaysia.
Prior to this appointment, Sabah served as the Chief Operating Officer of SAP Pakistan for three years.
In his new role, Sabah’s focus areas will include helping customers, partners, and communities in Malaysia tackle business transformation in the cloud, build a resilient supply chain and create a sustainable future for organisations, SAP said in a statement.
SAP Malaysia serves around 1,500 customers in 25 industries and has around 50 partners.
Prior to SAP, Sabah was the Managing Director of Teradata Malaysia.
He also founded a start-up venture where he developed artificial intelligence (AI) use cases related to capital markets, the agriculture industry and telecommunication networks.

Talking about his appointment Sabah said: “I am extremely passionate about Malaysia’s growth and am a firm believer that technology is one of the keys for Malaysia to realise its aspirations of becoming a high-income nation”.
