Salesforce has appointed Paul Carvouni as senior vice president and general manager for ASEAN with plans to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI across the region.

In this role, Carvouni will be responsible for driving Salesforce’s growth strategy in ASEAN, building sales and operational excellence, and supporting organisations as they transition towards agentic enterprises.

The appointment comes as Salesforce continues to expand its footprint in Southeast Asia.

The company opened a new office in the Philippines in October 2025, adding to its existing presence in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.

It has also recently made its Agentforce Service and Employee Agent offerings available in several ASEAN languages to serve local market needs.

Commenting on the appointment, Salesforce's executive vice president and managing director for South Asia, Arun Kumar Parmeswaran, said ASEAN remains an important market for the company.

Paul possesses the deep industry experience to guide customers in leveraging agentic AI to transform businesses, Parmeswaran said.

Carvouni brings over two decades of experience in the technology sector, with senior roles spanning Asia Pacific and ASEAN.

He has previously held leadership positions at Microsoft and Riverbed Technology, where he focused on building and scaling high-growth teams across the region.

Speaking on his new role, Carvouni said, "I am excited to lead Salesforce’s commitment to the ASEAN region. The AI revolution presents an immense opportunity for impact across every country, industry and segment, from SMBs to large-scale Enterprise & Public sector organisations."

This region is primed for significant growth, and the mission is clear: to empower every customer to become an Agentic Enterprise and unlock unprecedented productivity and intelligence, said Carvouni.

"I look forward to working alongside our talented team and extensive partner ecosystem to deliver the trusted AI, data, and CRM solutions that will fuel ASEAN’s next wave of innovation and growth," he added.
