Philippine Airlines, Inc. (PAL) has partnered with India-based aviation software provider Ramco Systems to automate and enhance business performances across PAL and its affiliate PAL Express. The airline is set to deploy Ramco’s aviation maintenance software Aviation Suite V5.9 for end-to-end optimisation of maintenance and engineering business processes.

PAL’s Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley Ng said the partnership has offered the company a technological edge with extensive functionalities to serve customers.

“Ramco Aviation supports regulatory compliance and enables sustainable digital transformation, improving our global network infrastructure,” he added.

Philippine Airlines offer nonstop flights linking the Philippines with the US, Canada and Hawaii, along with the largest network of flights on multiple routes to Japan, Australia and countries in the Middle East. It also carries air cargo shipments and undertakes charter flights.

PAL is engaged in fortifying its network as part of its initiatives for recoveries and full optimisation through its innovation and leadership (AIRFOIL) programme. It is on track to digitally transform through “paperless operations” using Ramco’s on-cloud, next-gen platform, Ng said.

The Ramco aviation suite provides accessibility with “Anywhere Apps”, significantly accelerating PAL’s efficiency and agility, he added.

It includes artificial Intelligence based solutions, intelligent voice-enabled user experience, and advanced features such as digital task cards, offline maintenance capability, conversational chatbots, HUBs and cognitive solutions.

Ramco Systems’ chairman PR Venketrama Raja said the company intend to provide the latest technologies with “best-in-class” functionality and user-friendly features to support PAL’s global expansion plans.
