In a joint effort, SAP, SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), and Temasek Polytechnic (TP) recently launched three new courses as part of the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme.
As part of the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package to upskill and reskill mid-career jobseekers, this programme hopes to boost the employability of 510 mid-career professionals by providing them with the skillsets and industry case study experiences to prepare them for when they re-enter the workforce.
These new courses are devised to help mitigate the increasing demand for critical skills in data-led financial insights, predictive forecasting and digital capabilities, as more organisations look into reevaluating their business strategy for long term growth.
The three courses include - Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and Data Science & Predictive Analytics.
The participants will follow a seven-month curriculum that incorporates an interactive classroom-based coursework developed by SAP and TP, along with vocational training and industry case studies with up to 50 of SAP’s local customers and industry partners. These partners and industry partners have each agreed to take in a small number of trainees for on-the-job training.
Moreover, these participants will receive ongoing evaluation and coaching from SAP and their partners while undergoing the industry case studies. Once they have completed their respective programmes, the participants will receive industry certification and job placement opportunities with SAP’s partners.
