New senior appointments to strengthen Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group’s APAC leadership team

Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), formerly Lenovo Data Centre Group (DCG), have appointed Sinisa Nikolic as Director, HPC & AI, and Kumar Mitra as Director and Regional General Manager for Central Asia Pacific (CAP) to the Asia Pacific leadership team.

Nikolic was previously from IBM, North America, where he spent close to 15 years building High-Performance Computing (HPC) teams, growing sales, revenue, and operational efficiencies to drive smarter HPC performance for clients across several industries. His most recent appointment was with IBM as its Director for Systems HW, Industrial Market, North America.

In his new role, Nikolic will be working closely with Lenovo’s global HPC team to drive the portfolio across the region.

“I am thrilled to be joining an industry leader like Lenovo ISG at such an exciting time in their own evolution, and helping businesses unlock new opportunities within HPC and AI,” said Nikolic.

Mitra brings with him 26 years of experience in sales and tech optimisation, giving him a strong understanding of the needs and nuances of markets across Asia Pacific. Prior to Lenovo, Mitra was from Nutanix as its Director for OEM Sales, Asia Pacific and Japan, and has also held senior positions in Dell. 

Mitra’s role will have him focusing on synergising the company’s performance across the CAP region to drive growth and customer confidence. ISG’s CAP region comprises of 8 key markets which includes Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and the Philippines.

“As I take the reins in this dynamic region in Asia, I hope to build on the successes we have had and help Lenovo ISG deliver cutting-edge infrastructure solutions for the data-centred,” said Mitra.

Both Nikolic and Mitra will be based in Singapore and will report to Sumir Bhatia, President at Lenovo ISG, Asia Pacific.
