Bitera - an affiliate of the MMS Group Indonesia - has announced the operational readiness of its data centre located in the Kuningan area of Jakarta's main business district.
The nine-story facility accommodating up to 4,000 racks, is capable of supporting 20 MW of critical IT load capacity.
The facility initiated services for its first clients in January and is set to launch at the end of February 2024.
Bitera’s CEO, Tedy Harjanto, said the company’s presence will support Indonesia's digital economy and sustainable growth by enabling the digitalisation of local businesses and financial institutions.
It had completed Level 5 commissioning tests or Integrated Systems Testing in January 2024.
These tests were conducted under the supervision of Commissioning Agents Inc. (CAI), a US data centre commissioning firm.
Integrated Systems Testing is carried out before the handover of the facility to ensure that all the systems operate per the design intent.
According to Bitera, it offers a range of network providers and low-latency connectivity options to clients, to help carry out digital operations.
MMS Group Indonesia is a sustainable asset management company in the energy and property sectors.
