iTnews Asia has announced the launch of the inaugural edition of the iTnews Benchmark Awards, Asia.
Started in 2013, the iTnews Benchmark Awards is a respected programme that recognises and celebrates Australia’s most remarkable IT projects, leaders and teams every year.
The Asia edition of the awards seeks to replicate the iTnews Benchmark Awards’ success by providing a platform for companies across the Asia Pacific region to showcase excellence in the use of IT in today's era of digitalisation.
With 29 individual categories, the awards focus on IT projects run by customers/end-users of IT, both in the private and the government sectors, and all are invited to nominate projects and people for recognition.
The awards cover core industries including Banking and Financial Services (BFSI), Government and Public Sector, Utilities, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Education, and Retail sectors, among others.
The top three winners in each category will be awarded a Gold, Silver or Bronze trophy at a gala celebration in Singapore in November..
In addition to industry-focused awards, there will also be Editorial Awards which will honour exceptional individuals and projects, irrespective of industry sector.
These include:
- A Women in Tech leadership award to celebrate the fantastic women leaders who have been trailblazers in the technology industry.
- Project implementations in artificial intelligence (AI), IoT, Sustainability, Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Web 3.0.
- An award recognising excellence in the use of technology by enterprises.

Accepting entries
Judged by an independent panel of well-recognised and experienced technology leaders, the iTnews Benchmark Awards, Asia, is now open and accepting entries from across the Asia Pacific region.
Entries close September 1, 2023.

Finalists will be announced on October 9, 2023, and their achievements will be celebrated at a gala dinner and networking evening on November 16, 2023, hosted and run by Lighthouse Independent Media, the publisher of iTnews Asia.
