ST Telemedia Global Data Centres - Philippines (STT GDC Philippines) is developing a new data centre campus - STT Fairview in Quezon City, northeast of Manila, to cater to hyperscalers.

STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture of Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) and the Philippines’ Ayala Corporation and Globe Group.

The STT Fairview campus will comprise four buildings, offering 124 megawatts of IT load capacity once fully built out.

STT GDC’s president and group CEO Bruno Lopez wrote in a LinkedIn post that the campus will be "the largest and most interconnected data centre in the Philippines, and the STT GDC group’s single largest development to date."

“I look forward to the next few milestones of this momentous development in the digitalisation journey of the Philippines,” he wrote.

The new campus will cater to both hyperscalers and enterprises, providing flexible and scalable low-latency colocation options, the company said.

It added that the data centre will be designed for liquid cooling and use advanced analytics and machine learning to improve operational efficiency and reduce the overall carbon footprint.

STT GDC Philippines’ chief executive officer, Carlo Malana, said there is a growing demand for high-quality colocation services in the Philippines as both cloud service providers and enterprises alike continually expand business platforms to meet consumers' evolving demand for low-latency digital services.
