Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) has automated over half of manual HR tasks to reduce human error and enhance daily operations.

It has enhanced reporting capabilities that help gather timely and accurate insights and facilitate effective workforce planning.

BPMB is a commercial bank based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is wholly owned by the Malaysian Government through the Ministry of Finance.

The bank has deployed Workday Human Capital Management (HCM).

It is leveraging Workday Talent Optimisation, Absence Management, and Workday Compensation as part of a phased implementation.

This has helped the organisation enhance talent management processes, resulting in an improved employee experience for productivity and retention levels.

BPMP’s chief human resource officer, Sainursalwa Sani, said the implementation of Workday has streamlined daily operations, reduced manual efforts, and enhanced employee experience.

With the implementation, the bank can reduce data fragmentation, making it easier for staff to access, consolidate, and analyse information.

This helps deliver operational excellence and strategic growth for the bank.

Workday ASEAN’s general manager, Pannie Sia, said the company is providing BPMB with actionable, real-time insights derived from detailed data analysis.

This enables the bank to make informed decisions and empower teams at all levels, she added.
