Lendlease has appointed Sunita Bottse as its head of data centres, responsible for leading Lendlease Data Centre Partners, the group’s US$1 billion joint venture (JV) with a large institutional investor to invest in facilities across the Asia-Pacific.
Bottse will be based in Singapore and will report to Andrew Gauci, Lendlease’s Asia head of telecoms and data infrastructure.
She has more than a decade of experience building and managing Tier IV data centres in the region.
Lendlease Data Centre Partners is currently developing a 120 MW hyper-scale data centre in Greater Tokyo, Japan, with construction due to commence in June 2022.
Bottse will be in charge of sourcing and developing data centre assets across Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.
She was most recently CEO of Supernap (Thailand), the company behind the first carrier-neutral hyperscale data centre in Thailand.
Prior to her role at Supernap, Bottse was the vice president of the Netherlands based Curacao Technology Exchange (Ctex) data centre where she managed data centre operations and drove the attainment of Tier IV certification.
Commenting on the appointment, Gauci said Bottse brings with her “both rich and diverse experience in the data centre space."
"Her deep expertise and industry experience will be an asset to Lendlease as we drive greater growth in acquisition, development, construction and investment in data centres," Gauci said.
