South Korea’s largest airline Korean Air is working to improve retailing capabilities and enhance customer experience through personalised offerings.

The company uses airline-first software platform Accelya's FLX Platform - which combines Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud and advanced technologies to deliver scalability and reliability.

Korean Air’s managing VP and NDC platform director, Yoo Tae Jung, said the airline has selected Accelya after the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for retail modernisation.

It enables the airline to present millions of retail offers across all channels.

According to Korean Air, it will integrate Accelya's New Distribution Capability (NDC) and FLX-Merchandising module, to deliver personalisation and relevant offers to customers.

The FLX-Merchandising module fine-tunes customer offerings and experiences.

It will enable the airline to create, personalise and adjust offers to better serve travellers across direct and indirect channels, it added.
