Mphasis, an India based IT solutions provider specialising in cloud and cognitive services has migrated its critical applications to cloud as part of its modernisation efforts.

The company has moved its legacy stack to Oracle Cloud and SaaS business applications.

Mphasis chief solutions officer, Srikumar Ramanathan told iTnews Asia that this transition has "seamlessly" integrated the company's crucial enterprise services such as HR and delivery systems, leading to operational efficiencies and elevated client satisfaction.

He added that Mphasis has bolstered security protocols, while facilitating convenient access for employees, irrespective of time or location.

Mphasis guides clients through digital transformation with integrated service offerings in application, infrastructure, and business process services. It has actively planned to optimise workflows and expand operations.

With a notable demand for AI-centric solutions, the firm looked to modernise applications portfolio to facilitate the rapid development of market-ready offerings for businesses.

It decided to move away from its existing utilisation of Oracle and Peoplesoft on-premises solutions.

"Our early adoption and practical engagement with new technologies have helped us to achieve a 90 percent migration to cloud-based solutions," Ramanathan said.

He explained that his firm could build better security framework from previous approaches and also gain addition benefits like enhanced availability and streamline processes that previously spanned months into mere weeks.

Mphasis had implemented HCM Fusion Cloud, greytHR Payroll cloud, Service Now, and M365. It is also currently in the process of leveraging Environmental, social and governance (ESG) Tool.

The company has invested in generative AI (GenA) initiatives that automates and accelerates multiple service offerings, while also paving the way for new archetypes in productivity transformation and delivery efficiency.

Recently it has rolled out a new intelligence platform - DeepInsights Doc AI for document processing, that helps enterprise clients extract context-specific information from documents, regardless of their format or layout, and integrate it with downstream IT systems to generate actionable insights.

DeepInsights Doc AI offers a tailored LLM solution designed for enterprise-specific requirements around document processing, covering information extraction, information discovery, context-aware search, and insight generation with recommendations.

Speaking on the future plans, Ramanathan said his team aims to integrate AI across various operational domains and explore Mphasis.ai's innovations to define impactful use cases.

"Additionally, we are contemplating a unified data exchange platform to streamline communication across our IT ecosystem," he added.

To enhance user engagement, Mphasis is also planning to revamp employee portal with conversational AI and hyper-personalisation features for better user experience.
