India’s largest auto parts and accessories player, myTVS, is enhancing business processes with artificial intelligence (AI) solutions on Oracle Cloud.

myTVS is an end-to-end digital platform operated by Ki Mobility Solutions Pvt Ltd to structure the fragmented automotive service sector.

The company serves an ecosystem of consumers, retailers, service garages, and fleet operators through its digital properties, offering services and parts to B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumers) customers through its own outlets, franchise network, at-home services, and roadside assistance.

It also operates auto component manufacturing, automobile dealerships, distribution and supply chain solutions, and sells third-party automotive components.

The company has more than three million customers, 25,000 service garages, 20,000 retailers, and roadside assistance fleets in 270 cities across India, the world's third-largest automobile market.

TVS Automobile Solutions’ chief technology officer Sai Satheesh Sadagopan told iTnews Asia that the firm has now laid a solid foundation on Oracle Cloud and is planning to “continue evolving” more business processes through the use of AI.

The company further aims to scale up its online-to-offline (O2O) business model, expand its network and invest in technology to enhance its services and spares platform.

Moving into Asia Pacific market

myTVS’ managing director G Srinivasa Raghavan said the company will enter the overseas market by launching centres in three Asia Pacific countries. “We would like to increase myTVS outlets to around 1,600 by next year,” he added.

Raghavan said the company’s finance and operations data was dispersed across multiple siloed on-premises applications, and to solve this problem, it looked for cloud solutions to improve financial insights and better match its inventory with customer demand.

“We needed to integrate data across all our brick-and-mortar stores, and digital platforms to improve real-time insights, optimise business processes, and reduce costs,” Raghavan said.

myTVS has leveraged Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to unify operations and improve business efficiency. This solution has helped the company take advantage of the cloud to standardise processes and manage financial, supply chain, HR, and customer experience data on a single integrated cloud platform.

The company said the solution has helped them get better visibility of their supply chain and real-time monitoring of inventory in transit and across various distribution centres.

Apart from streamlining the procurement process and “significantly” reducing the ordering cycle time with Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM), myTVS has also been able to enhance business insights and decision-making.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) has supported the firm to speed up accurate reporting and reduce the time it took to close processes.

With Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), myTVS has been able to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve controls, Raghavan said.

“We could standardise processes and create a single source of truth to quickly respond to changes in supply and demand,” he added.
