Grab has partnered with OpenAI to develop and deploy AI solutions to enhance user accessibility, customer support, and mapping capabilities.
It plans an initial pilot deployment of ChatGPT Enterprise among select employees to increase productivity.
The company will utilise OpenAI’s text and voice capabilities to make services accessible to users, particularly the visually impaired or elderly who may otherwise find navigating the on-screen app interface challenging.
It will explore using AI technology to build customer support chatbots that can understand user problems and help resolve faster.
Grab’s chief product officer, Philipp Kandal, said generative AI has the potential to transform the way the company solves problems for partners and users.
“We’re excited to work with OpenAI as a partner to help accelerate the exploration and use of this technology within Grab,” Kandal added.
The company will also leverage OpenAI’s vision capabilities to enhance map-making efforts through automation and higher-quality data extraction from visual images.
This will improve GrabMaps, delivering a better experience to consumers and driver-partners.
