Bridge Data Centres (BDC) has announced a plan to develop a third data centre campus, MY02, in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
According to BDC, the new data centre will be the largest among the three developments.
Once completed, the project would increase IT capacity by approximately 87 MW across three phases, it added.
Each phase involves constructing a three-storey data centre building.
It is working with Cyberview Sdn Bhd on this project with a formalised sales and purchase agreement.
BDC’s president Eric Fan, said the expansion in Malaysia will meet the needs of customers, strengthen the company’s position in the data centre industry, and support the digital transformation of businesses.
Cyberjaya is home to 15 commercial and captive data centres including hyperscale, and the location for 90 per cent of Malaysia’s co-location data centres.
