Technology solutions provider and Singapore Exchange Mainboard-listed Aztech Global is currently investigating a ransomware attack on its servers, with an unknown party gaining unauthorised access to its IT network.
In response to the attack, the company has shut down all its servers and is using cyber security screening software to continue to ensure no further data is affected or compromised.
Aztech Global said in an announcement that the incident has not affected any of its finances or operations, yet they have notified the appropriate law enforcement authority.
It added that they are looking forward to appoint third-party forensic advisors to help investigate the incident.
The firm is also seeking advice from industry experts to strengthen its overall cybersecurity.
More recently in January 2024, the Singapore-based investment holding company ES Group (Holdings) said it was hit by a ransomware attack, compromising encrypted information.
It added that the ongoing investigations indicated the threat has been contained and is believed to have impacted the majority of the data stored in the servers.
However, as of the date of this announcement, there has been no significant impact to the Group’s business and operations.
The Group activated its business continuity plan and took immediate actions, including disconnecting its systems from the network and engaging information technology consultants to assist with the investigations.
