Atlassian, a leading provider of team collaboration and productivity software, is partnering with Stripe to simplify and scale its global payments and billing systems.
With their HQ office in Sydney, Atlassian has acquired several companies since 2015 to expand its suite of offerings to plan projects, resolve incidents and deploy products. Despite wanting to build their own billing solution to create a unified purchasing experience across all of their products, Atlassian was unable to divert engineering resources away from their core products.
“By partnering with Stripe, we were able to build a scalable purchasing experience for our customers while focusing our engineering resources on bringing our product innovations to our customers faster,” said Chandra Elango, Head of Go To Market IT at Atlassian.
Stripe was chosen due to its flexible billing solution and deeply collaborative approach to enterprise partnerships which allows Atlassian to consolidate its payments and billing systems into a single, easy-to-use architecture.
In scoping out the partnership, Stripe and Atlassian worked closely together to design over a dozen custom features to help Atlassian increase its revenue as its enterprise product suite expands.
“The increasing depth of our product suite is making Stripe a powerful revenue multiplier for internet businesses – without them having to lift a finger,” commented Paul Harapin, revenue and growth lead for APAC at Stripe. “We’re thrilled that Atlassian chose to partner with Stripe to streamline subscriptions across its product offerings.”
