Vietnamese commercial bank, Vietnam Prosperity Joint-Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank), has modernised its core banking system to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience.
The process involves migration of over 18 million customer accounts and millions of loan records to a new cloud-native platform.
It was completed within a single 24-hour cutover window, ensuring business continuity for over 17 million customers.
The platform equips VPBank with the ability to bring new products to market faster, integrate easily with external partners, and deliver better digital experiences.
The transformation helps in cost efficiencies by automating workflows, optimising resources, and reducing IT overheads.
VPBank has migrated from its existing version of Temenos core banking to the latest release.
This is supported by Red Hat OpenShift, with Systems Limited as the technology partner.
By moving its application architecture to the cloud with Red Hat OpenShift, the bank now operates in a fully cloud-native environment.
