Standard Chartered has appointed Noelle Eder as group head, technology and operations.

Based in Singapore, she will report directly to the group chief executive, Bill Winters.

She will join the bank on 26 May 2025.

According to Winters, Eder will join as the bank intensifies efforts to streamline and simplify systems and processes through the “Fit for Growth” programme while harnessing emerging technologies to further improve service to clients.

Standard Chartered’s Fit for Growth programme, a three-year enterprise-wide digital and technology efficiency initiative, aims to simplify, standardise, and digitise operations.

Before this role, Eder was the executive vice president and global chief information officer at The Cigna Group.

She was responsible for leading the digital, technology, data and analytics, and operations strategy to drive innovation and transform healthcare.

Her prior leadership roles include chief information and digital officer at Hilton Worldwide Holdings and chief card customer experience officer at Capital One.

“I am thrilled to join Standard Chartered, a truly global and diverse organisation, and to embrace the exciting challenge of advancing its digital transformation and simplification efforts to better serve and empower clients worldwide,” said Eder.

“I look forward to contributing my expertise and fostering high-performing teams to accelerate our progress and sustain the Bank’s growth momentum,” she added.

The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
