Standard Chartered Bank (StanChart) has appointed Divyesh Vithlani as Group Chief Transformation Officer.

Based in Singapore, Vithlani will be responsible for accelerating the execution of StanChart’s strategy and strengthen the bank’s capabilities and capacity, to “become an even more client-focused digital bank”, StanChart said in a LinkedIn post.

Vithlani moves to StanChart from Accenture where he was Senior MD for South East Asia (SEA) Market Unit Lead.

He worked at Accenture for more than five years and held a previous position as MD Financial Services.

Prior to Accenture he worked in, among other places, SMARC Consulting and at Credit Suisse.

In a LinkedIn post, Vithlani said he was “excited" to start his new role and added that he had a “wonderful” stint at Accenture.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in banking and financial markets across Europe and the Asia Pacific region with primary focus in investment banking.
