Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has appointed Mark Ablett as Vice President for its Networking business across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).

He will be based in the region.

In this role, Ablett role is to bring together the strengths of HPE Aruba Networking and Juniper Networks into one clear strategy.

He’ll focus on driving growth, customer success, and innovation across the region.

Ablett joined HPE in 2024 to head HPE Aruba Networking’s business strategy and execution.

He brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the APJ region and has held key roles at Juniper Networks and Hitachi Vantara.

“I’m honoured to lead HPE Networking in Asia Pacific and Japan at a time when innovation is no longer a choice but a force reshaping how businesses operate, evolve, and create value in today’s dynamic world,” said Ablett.

“With a strong focus on delivering AI-native networking solutions from edge to cloud, I’m committed to empowering our customers and partners to turn innovation into measurable business impact," he added.

Prior to HPE, Ablett served as President of the Digital Infrastructure business unit at Hitachi Vantara.

He also held senior leadership roles across APAC, ANZ, and ASEAN during his nearly seven years at Juniper Networks.

His appointment comes as HPE strengthens its position in the networking space, following the acquisition of Juniper Networks, to meet rising demand for integrated, AI-driven infrastructure across the region.
