Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency (CSA) has partnered with NTUC LearningHub to provide relevant training programmes for awareness and adoption of cybersecurity.

It also announced a workshop for employees that offers experiential-based training on the different types of cyberattack methods commonly used by malicious actors.

NTUC's chief core skills officer, Anthony Chew said the collaboration CSA will support businesses by developing a digitally skilled workforce.

"The workshop incorporates content from CSA’s Cybersecurity Toolkit for Employees, which can be further contextualised to suit the unique needs of enterprises, including large corporations and small and medium enterprises (SMEs)," he added.

Organised into seven modules, NTUC said the workshop also raises awareness on the importance of cyber incident management, and the role of social engineering in cyberattacks and supports them to handle sensitive information and protect their devices against cyberattacks.

Labelling scheme

The CSA is also collaborating with the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH), Health Sciences Authority (HSA) and Synapxe to rate medical devices according to their levels of cybersecurity provisions.

The labelling scheme aims to incentivise manufacturers to adopt a security-by-design approach and enable consumers and healthcare providers to make more informed decisions on the use of such devices.

CSA said it will allow all parties involved to test out the scheme using its new sandbox and give feedback on the requirements and application processes.

"Manufacturers will get to put their medical devices through the different assessments, such as the declaration of conformity, software binary analysis, penetration testing and security evaluation," it added.
