StarHub has entered into a collaboration with Infosys Compaz, a joint venture between Temasek and Indian IT major Infosys, as part of its IT transformation journey.

The focus will be to strengthen Starhub’s technology operations, service management and cybersecurity.

As part of the agreement, StarHub will use Infosys Cobalt a set of cloud-based digital tools to execute IT operations, and management projects that will bring in new digital capabilities to the telco.

According to StarHub, Infosys Compaz will “help enhance sourcing strategy” for IT services, to support changing business needs while establishing a variable cost structure.

StarHub’s CIO, Kee Yaw Yee, said that they are collaborating with Infosys Compaz to strengthen key components of the IT application and infrastructure landscape designed for the future with a new IT operating model.

“StarHub’s technology coupled with Infosys’ local presence, and digital capabilities, will definitely strengthen and accelerate StarHub’s digital journey, which augurs well for our DARE+ strategy and promises to benefit our customers,” Kee said.

Unveiled at the end of 2021, DARE+ is StarHub’s five-year transformation strategy to transform the company.

Infosys Compaz will “work alongside” StarHub to “restructure” its service management and governance models to improve control and delivery management while updating its security infrastructure to maintain high levels of security.
