By Kumar Gandharv on Oct 7, 2022 11:55AM

Grab group's former head of product and analytics, Michael Truong, has joined ExpressVPN and the broader Kape Technologies' digital privacy division as chief product officer.

Truong, who will be based in Singapore, will lead product management for ExpressVPN, as well as CyberGhost and Private Internet Access.

In his role at Grab, Truong led a team of hundreds of product managers and data analysts with the mandate to deliver products and services across the company’s different divisions.

Prior to Grab, he was at Uber and was part of the team that helped scale the service across the globe.

ExpressVPN co-founder Dan Pomerantz said Truong will be "integral" to their leadership team as they continue to build producys "and further drive profitable growth”.

Truong said digital privacy and security are top of mind for everyone, "especially as we’re all spending increasingly more time online" professionally in hybrid work environments as well as personally at home with loved ones.
