Boston Consulting Group’s corporate innovation and business-building arm is opening two new innovation centres in New Delhi and Mumbai.

BCG Digital Ventures (BCGDV) said it will “join an established BCG network presence in India”.

India’s startup ecosystem is the third-largest in the world, after the US and China, the company said, and is “enormously fertile ground for tech entrepreneurs”.

“India is home to the fastest-growing startup market in the world,” BCG managing director and partner and the new BCGDV India Center lead Nipun Kalra said.

“BCG Digital Ventures will further expand on BCG’s established presence in the region, working with leading domestic and international companies to transform a wide range of industries from the inside out.”

The company also said it would build a centre in Morocco; when it and the Indian centres come online, BCGDV will have 16 centres in 12 countries.

Regionally, it has centres already in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo.
