Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC) has signed an MoU with Accelerated Infrastructure Capital (AIC) and Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) to develop an AI data centre complex in Ho Chi Minh City.

The project will establish a 200 MW AI data centre campus in Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Cu Chi District.

The complex, known as SGI-HCM Campus, will cover 10 hectares and is expected to be developed over the next few years.

Once operational, it will host up to 100,000 GPUs.

KBC said the project is valued at nearly SGD 2.61 billion and is funded through equity contributions from KBC, AIC, and partners, and commercial loans arranged by VietinBank.

AIC, an international data centre developer based in London and Hong Kong, will bring global expertise in building and operating large-scale facilities.

The company’s founding team has delivered data centre projects across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe with a total investment portfolio of over 20 billion USD.

VietinBank will act as a financial partner, providing consulting, project finance, and capital mobilisation to support the project’s implementation.

KBC, known for its industrial park and urban development projects, views the data centre as part of its strategy to upgrade its industrial ecosystem.

The SGI-HCM Campus will be built to international standards, focusing on energy efficiency, information security, and sustainability.

KBC said the project will help attract high-tech and digital investments, supporting Vietnam’s growing demand for AI and cloud computing services.
