IMDA and Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) have partnered with Singtel to launch the Singtel Cyber Protect Programme, to boost the cybersecurity readiness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The two-year programme will provide 49,000 SMEs with 12 months of complimentary Mobile Protect and Broadband Security.

It will offer network-level protection for mobile devices and broadband connections.

Mobile Protect is a network-level mobile security solution that leverages AI to identify and filter malicious URLs.

This protects users from cyber threats.

Each SME can deploy this service for up to five mobile lines.

Second, Broadband Security is an advanced solution with built-in network protection that safeguards broadband users and connected smart devices from online threats.

It is limited to one sign-up per registered business.

Enterprise Singapore’s assistant managing director of capabilities, product and policy, Geoffrey Yeo, said the partnership with Singtel and IMDA will provide SMEs with foundational cybersecurity protection against online threats, helping them grow and compete effectively in an increasingly digital economy.

Participating businesses will gain access to curated educational materials, toolkits, and a three-hour workshop, worth $400.

The aim is to strengthen SMEs’ cyber risk awareness and build capabilities to anticipate, detect, respond to and recover from evolving threats.

The programme’s first year is fully subsidised, while Singtel will offer up to 50 percent discount for second-year renewals.

Singtel Singapore CEO, Ng Tian Chong, said cyber threats are growing in scale and sophistication, and SMEs continue to be among the most vulnerable groups – often targeted because they lack the resources and defences of larger organisations.

Together with EnterpriseSG and IMDA, the company is empowering SMEs with affordable solutions and educational resources to help pursue opportunities in the digital economy with confidence, he added.
