FairPrice Group (FPG) has launched digital tools to transform the shopping experience for travellers in Singapore.
The move expands cross-border mobile payment acceptance across over 500 FPG outlets, including supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, and food courts.
Visitors can now pay using home e-wallets or bank apps from 18 international partners, covering travellers from 12 countries and regions.
It has partnered with Ant International to launch digital tools.
FPG has also introduced the Cheers Mini App on Alipay, making Cheers the first and only convenience chain in Singapore with a dedicated mini app.
The app functions as a digital concierge, guiding Chinese tourists through their entire trip.
Using the app, visitors can plan shopping lists pre-arrival, redeem in-app vouchers upon landing, and receive location-based product recommendations during their stay.
A curated catalogue of over 500 products supports pre-departure gift shopping, with store mapping to make pick-up easy and convenient.
Selected Cheers outlets at key tourist touchpoints, including Changi Airport, hotel districts, and popular attractions, have been stocked with Singapore-themed souvenirs and travel essentials.

We look forward to a long and exciting journey with partners like FairPrice Group to unlock more local and regional growth opportunities.”
The partnership allows FPG to offer travellers an end-to-end digital shopping experience while leveraging insights from AI-driven tools.
Vipul Chawla, group CEO of FPG, said the collaboration enables Cheers to deliver discovery, transactions, and rewards in one platform, redefining retail for Chinese tourists.
The Cheers Mini App on Alipay is now live and ready to welcome Chinese tourists visiting Singapore.
