Singapore’s construction firm Shingda Group centralises network operations

Achieves 60 percent efficiency boost and faster troubleshooting across sites.

Shingda Group, a Singapore-based civil engineering and construction company, has adopted a cloud management platform to modernise IT infrastructure.

The move supports Shingda’s operations across remote construction sites where on-site IT resources are limited.

By connecting all sites to its headquarters through a hub-and-spoke VPN architecture, the company has simplified connectivity and strengthened security.

It has tapped the Nebula cloud management platform from Zyxel Networks.

Since the deployment, Shingda reports a 60 percent boost in network management efficiency.

Troubleshooting and configuration tasks are completed up to 70 percent faster, reducing the time and effort required from the IT team.

Shingda Group’s IT manager, Joshua Pek, said the company needed a solution that would keep sites connected, secure and easy to manage.

With Zyxel Networks’ equipment, the team can quickly diagnose and resolve issues through a single, unified dashboard. There is no longer a need to toggle between multiple tabs for device configuration or troubleshooting, Pek added.

Centralised cloud-managed network for control

Shingda Group’s network setup combines GS1920 Series smart managed switches with PoE and WAX510D WiFi 6 access points for high-density coverage.

It is secured by ATP Series firewalls alongside branch devices such as the ATP200, SCR50AXE, and USG20-VPN.

All components are managed through Nebula’s centralised cloud platform, which provides full network visibility, automatic topology mapping.

It has centralised monitoring to help the IT team stay in control.

With a centralised system in place, the company no longer needs to rely on spreadsheets to track IP addresses or credentials.

Staff now benefit from unified logins, good WiFi coverage, and site-to-site connectivity.
