Singapore’s SLEC unifies IT infrastructure to simplify operations

Rollout expected to be completed by 2025 end.

Singapore healthcare provider St Luke’s ElderCare (SLEC) has transformed its IT infrastructure to simplify operations.

The organisation has consolidated 17 disparate systems into a fully integrated, cloud-based AI-native network.

The networking solutions have helped SLEC unify wired, wireless, WAN, and firewalling with a common cloud.

The aim is to modernise and secure SLEC’s network to enhance user experiences for staff, elders, and IT administrators.

SLEC has implemented Juniper Networks’ Mist platform across nursing homes, aged care centres, and senior care centres.

The rollout is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

SLEC’s chief operating officer, Alan Wong, said, by modernising networks with Juniper’s AI-native networking platform, the organisation has ensured uninterrupted connectivity, strengthened cybersecurity, and enabled innovative services for the elderly.

This transformation has empowered caregivers with the tools to provide personalised and efficient care, Wong added.

Help manage growing infrastructure

SLEC’ deployment of unified wired access, wireless access, WAN, and firewalling under a common cloud, has enabled secure connectivity with end-to-end visibility into the user experience.

The solution allows the IT team to manage the growing infrastructure, reduce downtime, and maintenance costs.

It has also supported the rollout of new elderly care services, including virtual reality for immersive experiences, robotics for rehabilitation, and a smart transport management system for real-time fleet tracking.

This optimises routes and ensures the safe transportation of elders between care centers and homes.
