Digital Realty has announced the launch of its first data centre in India - MAA10 capable of supporting 20 MW of critical IT load capacity.

The newly built data centre is the first phase of the 100 MW capable campus, being built, in Chennai, in the state of Tamil Nadu.

It is being developed by Digital Connexion, a joint venture between Digital Realty, Brookfield Asset Management, and Reliance Industries.

Data Realty said MAA10 features a modular infrastructure design that lets customers adjust the infrastructure to handle workloads from single cabinet to multi-megawatt requirements.

It added that the facility supports emerging technologies including AI, with configurations up to 70 kW per rack that ensures cooling and connectivity for high-density power needs.

The data centre taps into Reliance Jio's digital network and enterprise ties for nationwide connectivity, which is crucial to providing real-time business insights.

It will have Digital Realty’s product ServiceFabric capabilities by 2024, allowing customers to configure on-demand connectivity in digital infrastructure.
