Carmen’s Best plans to enhance operational efficiency with cloud

Implements SAP for real-time sales monitoring.

The Philippines’ premium ice cream brand Carmen’s Best is moving operations to the cloud for improved efficiency and to enhance customer experience.

The company has partnered with cloud services provider Cloud4C to address critical business needs.

This includes streamlining supply chain operations, ensuring product traceability, and optimising its distribution channels.

Metro Pacific Agro Ventures (MPAV) recently acquired Carmen's Best with plans to transform various facets of the operation, from production and distribution to quality control and customer engagement. It aims to improve data security, cost efficiency, and agility in adapting to market changes.

Carmen’s Best implemented SAP Cloud to enable real-time monitoring of sales performance, enhanced inventory management, and agile decision-making.

MPAV’s CEO, Jovy I. Hernandez, said this technology helped Carmen’s Best to meet growing demands, support local farmers, and drive operational excellence.

“This daily monitoring enabled us to identify trends, patterns, and fluctuations, leading us to make informed decisions promptly,” he added.

SAP has also significantly elevated Carmen’s Best’s ability to manage its customer relationships. The platform facilitated a centralised and integrated customer management system, where relevant information about customers, their preferences, and purchasing behaviours were readily accessible.

“This led to more personalised interactions, targeted marketing strategies, and ultimately, enhanced customer satisfaction,” Hernandez said.

Carmen’s Best can now efficiently handle large volumes of sales data and customer information through the integration of SAP S/4 HANA on SAP RISE. It has supported the firm to streamline processes related to sales monitoring and customer management.

Automation of routine tasks, data entry, and reporting has not only reduced manual workload but also minimised errors.

MPAV expects to drive rapid business expansion with migration to the cloud. It is also investing PHP2 billion in collaboration with Israel’s LR Group, to establish a state-of-the-art dairy facility in the Philippines, with operations set to commence in 2025-2026.
