GHL Systems Berhad, a leading payment solutions provider in Malaysia has partnered with Arab Financial Services (AFS) to process its merchant transactions in Thailand.

GHL's operations span six countries including Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Australia with a footprint of over 380,000 payment touchpoints across the region.

It facilitates both offline and online payment solutions and is Malaysia's largest prepaid credit top-up and bill collection network.

Under the partnership, AFS will provide GHL with an Acquiring-as-a-Service platform and value-added services: authorisation and clearing for in-store and e-Commerce transactions, dispute management, fraud prevention, and data analytics.

This will enable GHL’s merchants in Thailand platform to achieve increased efficiencies, robust security, and better user experiences.

GHL's Group Chief Executive Officer Sean Hesh said his company is confident to offer next-level solutions with AFS, that can elevate the experience for its merchants in Thailand.

GHL is currently expanding its operations and services in Thailand. It has recently integrated Alipay+, a suite of global cross-border digital payment solutions for over 2,600 local businesses in Thailand to facilitate digital payments from Asian mobile wallets.

This includes AlipayHK (Hong Kong SAR), Kakao Pay (South Korea), Touch ‘n Go eWallet (Malaysia), and Alipay (Chinese mainland), which has been accepted by Thai merchants since 2015.

GHL said travelers visiting Thailand can now pay with their home e-wallets at over 5,000 retail outlets powered by GHL, through a partnership with Alipayplus.
