Singtel partners Zoom to offer unified communication solutions

To facilitate hybrid work environment.

Singtel has partnered with enterprise communication solutions provider Zoom Video Communications, Inc. to offer new unified solutions and enhance customer service delivery.

The telco announced plans to add a suite of 5G and unified communications (UC) offerings for enterprises, that is a combination of voice, video and text communication involving various services and products - from apps to hardware devices on one unified platform.

Singtel Enterprise Business’ managing director, Lim Seng Kong, said that UC will facilitate better organisational management and collaboration for enterprises to improve productivity and customer service.

As per the company statement, one of the new UC solutions, Singtel’s Zoom Phone Connector, will enable enterprise users to make and receive business calls from their fixed business numbers to and from Zoom Phone and non-Zoom Phone users.

“This removes the need for businesses to maintain fixed lines in a hybrid work environment,” Kong said.

Singtel also plans to launch  Zoom One, an all-in-one collaboration offering that brings together options for team chat, phone, meetings, whiteboard, rooms, workspace reservation and more into one unified platform.

The seamless integration of UC platforms such as Zoom to Singtel’s CPaaS will allow customers to onboard new services like the Do Not Call functions, Contact Centres-as-a-service and Mobile voice recordings, Kong added.

As near future targets, Singtel is gearing up to open Zoom Contact Center and Zoom Virtual Agent to engage customers via intelligent digital interactions, and Zoom IQ for Sales to improve sales productivity.

The partners said they will also be exploring high-resolution streaming solutions via Singtel Paragon, the all-in-one 5G and MEC business orchestration platform, to bring the cloud-based conferencing service closer to enterprises and consumers on the network edge.
