ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has appointed a new country head for its Indonesian operations, with Hendrikus Hendra Gozali joining this month.

The regional data centre operator said in a LinkedIn post that Gozali’s appointment to head PT STT GDC Indonesia is effective from August 1.

In this new role, he will “spearhead the overall strategic growth of STT GDC Indonesia and expand [the company’s] capabilities in the Indonesian market.”

Singapore-headquartered STT GDC entered Indonesia last year via a strategic partnership with Indonesian conglomerate Triputra Group and investment company Temasek.

The trio are building a data centre campus in the Greenland International Industrial Centre, located in Kota Deltamas, Cikarang, Bekasi.

The campus “will support the development of multiple buildings and up to 72 megawatts of critical IT capacity,” the company said at the time, with construction “anticipated to be completed by Q1 2023.”

Gozali was previously the Indonesia country general manager for Johnson Controls, a producer of building control systems.

He also has executive roles at the likes of Honeywell and Schindler Lifts to his name.
