Xero appoints MD for Asia

To be based in Singapore.

Xero has appointed Koren Wines as managing director for Xero Asia with immediate effect.

To be based in Singapore, Wines will lead the company as it seeks to grow its Asia customer base, and advance Xero’s position as a leading cloud accounting software provider.

Wines has more than 20 years of experience leading marketing, sales and business transformation teams in markets including Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Wines joined Xero in 2017 and established Xero’s global sales enablement function before moving on to create a global enterprise project management office for the company.

Most recently, Wines was the as global general manager of WorkflowMax (WFM), a Xero product.

Xero’s MD for Australia and Asia, Joseph Lyons, said the company was excited to have Wines take the helm as MD for Xero Asia.

“Wines has a proven track record in leading teams to deliver exceptional B2B customer experiences along with strong commercial performance and growth,” Lyons said.

Wines said she was “incredibly excited about the opportunity to lead our Asia business to grow our brand and industry leaders across the region, working closely with our customers and partners to strengthen the small business community and ecosystem”.
