Dell Technologies picks Andy Sim as VP and MD to run Singapore operations

Sim succeeds Eric Goh, who will be retiring from the role after 10 years at Dell Technologies.

Dell Technologies has appointed Andy Sim as Vice President and Managing Director of its Singapore operations.

In his new role, Sim will be leading Singapore’s sales, go-to-market strategy, business development and enhancing relationships with customers across public and private sectors, partners and alliances. He will also remain committed to keeping sustainability front and centre as a business imperative as he continues to actively participate in advisory councils of industry interest groups focused on sustainability.

Sim has held multiple responsibilities at Dell Technologies over the past 8 years; ranging from heading the enterprise solutions business in South Asia and Korea, and the networking business across Asia-Pacific and Japan, to running the enterprise, public and corporate business in Singapore.

“Andy brings with him years of local and regional industry experience and knowledge in our priority technology areas such as hybrid cloud, edge, telecom, AI and as-a-service offerings. I am excited to see our business in Singapore grow under his leadership in the months to come,” said Pang Yee Beng, senior Vice President, South Asia, Dell Technologies.

Sim is passionate about sustainability issues and serves as a council advisor to SGTech’s Sustainability Committee. He is also the Singapore IT Standards (ITSC) Green IT Chairman and a board member of ITE Electrical and Electronics School Curriculum. Sim has been an active member of SGTech since 2013, a trade association for the tech industry in Singapore, and currently serves as its first vice-chairman.

He was also most recently appointed to the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Advisory Committee for e-waste management led by the National Environment Agency (NEA) for a two-year term.
