In an effort to provide the Bruneian economy with the best and latest in digital solutions, telecom service provider imagine is partnering with Ensign InfoSecurity (Ensign) to strengthen its cybersecurity proposition to enterprises and government organisations in Brunei.
The partnership is the latest in a string of imagine’s regional and international partnerships that aims to contribute to Brunei’s economic growth and stability. Centred upon Brunei’s Digital Economy Masterplan 2025 which includes the strengthening of the country’s cybersecurity landscape, together with the increase in digital usage that calls for the protection of data, infrastructure, and networks against growing cyber threats.
According to imagine, the partnership also compliments the Brunei government’s continues encouragement for the use of digital tools to propel the nation forward in all aspects of life that include, but not limited to, trade, finance and banking, healthcare, education, agriculture, tourism, energy, as well as logistics and transportation.
“This is part and parcel of imagine’s contribution to the Wawasan 2035 that calls for cooperation from all sectors in the country including the private sector to harness digitalisation efforts as we move towards realising a Smart Nation,” said Suzannawati binti Haji Suharju, CEO at imagine.
“With cyber attacks becoming more prevalent around the world, Brunei is not immune to cyber crimes where attacks can include theft of sensitive personal data. By partnering with Ensign, imagine is now in a position to offer security as a service to government and corporate clients.”
