Frasers Hospitality launches AI training app for Singapore properties

To be later rolled out across Southeast Asia.

Frasers Hospitality, the serviced residence arm of Frasers Property Group, has launched an AI-enabled workforce training solution.

The hospitality company has developed an AI agent-based app that automatically generates standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training flowcharts from best-practice videos.

It enables managers to review and approve training documents.

These documents are then shared with employees via an internal knowledge base.

This solution has been first deployed for Frasers Hospitality properties in Singapore and will be progressively rolled out across Southeast Asia.

The company has partnered with Google Cloud and Kyndryl.

Built using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, Firebase Studio, and Gemini API, the app includes a built-in translation feature powered by Google Cloud’s Translation API.

This ensures accessibility across Frasers Hospitality’s multinational workforce.

Frasers Hospitality said the tool addresses challenges of scaling training across its growing portfolio, particularly when new in-room amenities such as coffee machines or washing machines are introduced.

Manual updates to SOPs were previously time-consuming across multiple locations and languages.

Six weeks from idea to production

Frasers Property’s managing director, group digital and technology, Ian Loe, said, with Google Cloud’s software components and Gemini 2.5 Flash model performing well without fine-tuning, the company went from solution ideation to production in just six weeks.

The ability to quickly generate and disseminate easy-to-digest procedural documents from videos has reshaped the approach to training, said Loe.

It has enabled the company to transition to a scalable and structured staff development program that ensures a consistent guest experience across hospitality portfolio, he added.

Frasers Hospitality is also piloting new features that will convert text-based SOPs into motion graphics with voiceovers to further simplify training.

The deployment is part of Google Cloud’s AI CTO program, launched in collaboration with Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) under the Enterprise Compute Initiative.

The program aims to build AI Centres of Excellence in 300 digitally mature Singapore companies.

Participants receive consultancy support, Google Cloud credits, and training licenses worth up to SG$500,000 to develop AI-powered minimum viable products.

Partners for the program include Accenture, Deloitte, NCS, Kyndryl, NTT Data, and others.
