Thai Airways, flag carrier of Thailand has deployed artificial intelligence-native networking platform to modernise its network infrastructure and deliver secure wired and wireless services that improve visibility, control, and security.

To implement better processes and workflows for enhancing customer experience during search, booking and managing flights online, the airline embarked on a digital transformation journey.

It deployed network upgrades from Juniper Networks across its headquarters, using purpose-built AIOps (artificial intelligence for IT operations) capabilities including analytics, natural language processing, and automation to simplify network operations and improve user experiences.

“Slow, unreliable Wi-Fi was previously hampering productivity and efficiency at our Bangkok head offices, but the upgrades have turned networking complaints into compliments,” said Tana Kantipan, team lead for network and cyber security at Thai Airways.

The company could deliver insights into user experiences and proactive fault resolutions that can reduce network-related trouble tickets by up to 90 percent. It has gained visibility across all devices and streamline network management.

With Juniper’s Marvis Virtual Network Assistant (VNA), the firm uses natural language processing to quickly identify the root cause of network issues and provide specific recommendations for fixes. This has resulted in a significant decrease in issues and user complaints, reducing the overall time required for network operations.

Thai Airways is looking forward to refreshing the network at its two hubs in Thailand to support the day-to-day activities of airport operations.
