Singaporean shipping company Pacific International Lines (PIL) is revamping its existing customer portal and deploying a scalable and modern technology platform.

The shipping company has networks in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Oceania.

This will enable the shipping company to further the 'Driving Connectivity' mission focused on integrating businesses across markets.

PIL has selected Infosys in a multi-year, multi-phased collaboration to address business challenges.

According to PIL, it is planning to use Infosys expertise to redesign and update web and mobile applications to simplify user experience and enhance customer engagement.

Infosys will provide advisory services on the latest technology and business trends, it added.

Infosys’ EVP and global head of retail, consumer goods and logistics, Karmesh Vaswani, said the aim is to transform PIL's customer portals to become simple, intuitive, and experiential, leveraging scalable technology through the AI-powered Infosys Topaz suite of offerings.

In May 2023, Infosys launched Infosys Topaz - a new offering that combines data analytics, artificial intelligence, and generative AI.
