US-based manufacturing company Jabil has established a centralised platform for employee data to streamline human resource (HR) processes.

It will be implemented in its facilities in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, among 100 locations in 30 countries.

Jabil will use Workday’s Human Capital Management (HCM) software to streamline the management of multiple HR systems.

The company's senior vice president and chief information officer, May Yap, said after the implementation of Workday's systems, employees are better placed to focus on higher-value tasks and leverage skill sets to achieve business performance in this competitive business environment, she added.

Jabil now has a centralised view of employee information, streamlined core HR processes, and facilitated data flows that enhance organisational compliance.

Yap added that with accurate and reliable data, leadership teams can make data-driven decisions that drive growth, effectively leverage the different capabilities within the workforce, and address gaps in the talent pool.

The company also uses the Workday Advanced Compensation product that helps managers decide on merit-based salary increases, promotions, and bonuses, facilitating a robust compensation process.

The new system allows employees to use self-service capabilities to complete HR tasks required, with an average of about 1.5 million employee-initiated transactions completed annually.

Workday Asean general manager, Pannie Sia, said that by harnessing insights derived through employee analytics, the company can optimise operations and work towards fostering a synergy between human capital and organisational goals.
