Vietnamese construction firm Coteccons Construction is revamping and optimising its business operations in collaboration with Microsoft.

Coteccons is one of the largest construction companies in Vietnam with revenue in excess of half a billion US dollars.

It delivers modern construction practices in its various projects including residential, commercial, hospitality, infrastructure, and industrial areas.

The company has signed a deal with Microsoft to accelerate innovation with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Azure cloud.

Coteccons' CEO, Vo Hoang Lam, said the firm has decided to migrate its systems and processes to the cloud, "recognising the urgent need to use technology to improve management efficiency and productivity".

Lam said the firm "needed to revamp its digital core for building next-generation platforms and scalable infrastructure".

He added that Coteccons will use Microsoft Power Platform to accelerate its business automation and digital transformation.

Lam said the company will conduct a "comprehensive assessment of its current data centre infrastructure with help from Microsoft including checking hardware, software, networking, and security systems and then analyse for improvements".

He added that Coteccons will then apply the design cloud reference architecture for modern infrastructure and platform as a service to achieve cost efficiency.

"We will implement and migrate current workloads to Microsoft Azure for better performance, operations, and centralised management," he added.

The construction firm is also aiming to build a modern workplace with AI-empowered Microsoft 365 to improve experience, productivity, and development for their 2000 employees.

It has decided to integrate Microsoft Zero Trust security solutions to build a secure protect and manage employee identity and all data across the group.
